Early FM-series brackets sit at 3.5 inches on center; later MM-series brackets run 4 inches on center. • The gate is harder to push manually than it used to be. Even with the opener in bypass, a home gate should move with one hand. If it takes two hands or a shoulder, the hinge is no longer pivoting cleanly and is fighting you on the pin or the roller.
